Monte Carlo or Bust Rally:  Champagne Charlie
Coming soon!

The original and now legendary banger rally adventure that has sold out every year since it began in 2013, how can you resist taking a taste of Champagne Charlie.  Beginning in St.Quentin, France and finishing in Monte Carlo via Switzerland and Italy.  Sights include the Champagne region, Torino motor museum, the dizzying heights of St. Bernard’s Pass and beautiful Lake Geneva.

Itinerary

Registration Evening: Thursday

St. Quentin, France

Champagne Charlie starts in the beautiful Roman city of Saint-Quentin.  Saint-Quentin is approximately 2.00 hours from Calais. All teams are required to register the night before the race at the rendezvous spot between 19:00 and 00:00.

Day One: Friday

St. Quentin, France

to

Dijon, France

Day one includes a visit to the Reims-Gueux racing circuit, a fantastic flash back to the glory days of French motor racing. Back on the road your banger will drive through the beautiful Champagne region – but the only team popping any corks will be the winners of the daily challenges. We end the day in Dijon, the capital of Burgundy and home to the best wine growing fields in the world. After checking in you’ll have plenty of time to get yourselves fed and watered before joining up with other participants or exploring the ancient city.

Day Two: Saturday

Dijon, France

to

Turin, Italy

Day two allows you to experience the very best driving in Europe.  We burn rubber and brakes into Switzerland, around the magnificent Lake Geneva, before conquering the Alps over the mighty Grand St. Bernard Pass.  We’ll go from sunny streets to snow-capped mountains in minutes as you climb one of the driving wonders of the world. Take a break at the top to give your baby a breather…snowball fights are optional…but encouraged.  Cruise down the mountains into Italy and the grand boulevards of Turin. It’s the home city of Fiat – so any suffering Pandas or Cinquecentos may be in luck.

Day Three: Sunday

Turin, Italy

to

Monte Carlo, Monaco

Day three starts with a gathering at the Museo Nazionale dell’Automobile (The National Automobile Museum) home to over 200 bella motors. Once on the road we’ll wind through the magnificent countryside and head for the sea to meet up with the coastal road E80 and experience spectacular scenery as we cruise across the border into France.  A few more mountain turns and you’ll be crossing the finish line in Monte Carlo!  What better way to finish than having a quick lap of the F1 circuit and then cruising past a Bentley at the Casino.

With the rally and challenges officially over we ask you to join us in Nice where we’ll be spending the evening.  The final Rendezvous includes presentations, speeches and a few other surprises – not to be missed!
